    Hi Mike,

I’m not an expert on web pages (i’ve never had my own site), but I think it will be difficult to recover the content from a suspended web page. Unfortunately, once the website host stops getting paid and the site is taken down, the stored files making up the web pages would likely have been deleted. The only backup copies of the files would be on Wayne’s original computer that he uploaded to the web host.

However, I did find a copy of the home page backed up to the web archive “Wayback Machine” here:

Some of the links to the parish records are also still there, but the Family Tree and Pictures are not accessible.

You might find some info on this site, which has contributions from Wayne:

Or perhaps you could contact Wayne’s immediate family (listed on the pudnewfoundland home page) to find out it his computer files were preserved.

I visited Wayne’s site a while ago and was pleased to find a reference to my ancestor Samuel Butler of Cupids, listed in the parish records as drowning near Old Perlican, with the date of Aug 1886. This led me to find reports of a gale storm in Aug 1886, in which a Captain Butler of Cupids, a son, and nephew perished off Old Perlican. I am grateful to Wayne for making those parish records available online, and was saddened to hear that he is no longer with us. The website was a valuable resource.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
    Best,
    Doug.
