I am searching for information on the Father of the Rev.Thomas Wilberforce Upward (1871-1948) : Thomas Vautier Upward (NK DOB). The good Rev. was born in La Poile, Married in England, Returned to Newfoundland, Died in England.
On his Marriage Certificate (1909), Thomas Vautier is stated to be an Officer of the U.S. Navy!

I’m also researching the Upward and Upwards families of Lapoile and the same from the West Coast of Newfoundland. Especially links to the Southwest counties of England.
