    Searching for info re Alexander McLean, born in Channel, Nl. 1835-1838. Have not been able to find a birth record. I have a death record showing he died in Stephenville 1938 age 80. Trying to find some history on him….parents , etc.

    The death record I saw said he was born in 1858 and died June 29th, 1938 at 80years old. You can purchase the death certificate (Certificate Number 220121-235351) from Government of NL Vital Statistics Division. This certificate should give you more information about birth, parents, etc.
