I have found out since that her parents were James Young and Hannah Deer from Burnt Island, now named Port Anne. Elizabeth Young from Burnt Island (Port Anne) – one of her brothers, Charlie Young, had/has a child Margaret Ellen Young (Moores) (husband Arch) & lives in Rushoon and turned 106 years old on November 5th, 2011, who is still alive. Elizabeth Young’s first husband was Jim Picco. Elizabeth Young’s second husband was William Lake, our great grandfather. Her third husband was William Cheeseman of Rushoon. He was 74 and she was 68.

Recommend that you look at the Cape Breton Genealogy and History Association’s web site (cbgen.org). In the public area, Lark Szink and others have made an enormous Acadian database available to the public.
