    Hi Carol:

During your research have you run into an Isaac and Patience Russell, and if so is it possible they are William’s parents. Thanks

    Don

    Hi Carol:

Thank you for your very detailed and essential information on my Mother’s family, the Russells. I must confess to playing catch-up as I didn’t know much of the family history until recently. The Bradbury connection is interesting albeit from an arms length perspective. While living in St. John’s in the 70’s, a very good friend was Jack Bradbury from BR, and we spent a lot of time at his family home there visiting his parents. Thank you again for your assistance, it is very much appreciated.

    Regards

    Don

I am trying to find details related to the family of my great grandfather Charles Russell who was born in Bay Roberts on or about 1867. The only information I have on his parents indicate his father William Russell born about 1840, and his mother Rebecca, maiden name unknown. Charles married Lavinia Chinn from “George’s Bay” (??), who passed away in 1917 and subsequently married Martha Jane Messervey in 1918 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Charles’ son Herbert, my grandfather, was born in Parrsboro Nova Scotia in 1893.
