Let me know if you can open this link – http://ngb.chebucto.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=654&p=8391&hilit=Henry+Lilly#p8391

It shows Henry Lilly’s parents as being a Pike and Lilly but the dates don’t match the date of the shipwreck, which is either 1860 or 1880 as both are mentioned in that article.

Thanks. Still looking for info on who Ms. Pike was. My cousin says he thinks it was someone from Red Bay. It’s too bad the article didn’t give the ships name.

Yes. Adelaide married Philip D (1824-1870) in 1848. She then married Abraham Hudson (1851-1905) on 12 Mar 1875.

Diocesan mag states “the story told
by Mr. Henry Lilly, of how his father
and mother met and wed well on for seventy years before”. So it would be his parents that wed (Ms. Pike and Henry’s father). I will ask some family members who may know which Pike married Henry’s father.

They are my gggrandparents. Do you have anything on his father Henry Beals?? Thanks.

If they are listed here I would think the web master would love some pics to attach to the names: http://ngb.chebucto.org/Cemetery/1stg-cem-idx.shtml
