Meetings

All regular meetings of the Family History Society of Newfoundland and Labrador are usually held at Irwin's Court in the Arts and Culture Centre, St. John's, NL, unless noted otherwise. They normally feature a guest lecturer, but sometimes take the form of a workshop. These meetings are held, starting at 7:30 PM, on the fourth Tuesday of the following months: January, February, March, April, September, October, and November. Occasionally, the Tuesday dates have to be changed because of conflicting civic functions, adverse weather conditions, etc. Please check this website regularly for updates and/or take note of any newspaper, radio, or television notifications of changes to the following schedule.

Regular meetings are open not only to Society members, but to the general public as well. Local members are encouraged to attend, and to bring along a friend. Members may request an e-mail notification of upcoming meetings by contacting the Society via the telephone, fax, or e-mail shown on our homepage. Please include your member number and a valid e-mail address with your request.

The Society's Annual General Meeting is generally held early in the year, usually in conjunction with the last regular meeting before the summer break. However, at times conflict with other events may necessitate a change of scheduling.
